The Last Broadcast (1998)

Bristling with equipment, two enthusiastic local access cable TV producers recruit an assistant and venture into a forest in search of the mythical and horrifying Jersey Devil. Days later, only one of the trio emerges. He becomes the prime suspect in the disappearances of the other two. However, a local filmmaker examines extensive footage found at the scene and arrives at a different conclusion.

Very well made found footage film. I like the approach of the pseudo documentary style here and most of the interviews look pretty genuine. I would say it’s more than a mystery, thriller film rather than a horron one.

This was the found footage movie that got me hooked, even more so than Blair Witch….well made with surprise ending, this is a must see for found footage fans, and to see how this genre started.
